Editing a Professional Resume in Adobe Photoshop
Step 1: Open Adobe Photoshop
Ensure Adobe Photoshop is installed on your computer. Launch the application by double-clicking the Photoshop icon.
Step 2: Open the Professional Resume Template
Navigate to File > Open and select your CV/resume template. If you don’t have a template, you can find free or premium templates online.
Step 3: Unlock the Background Layer
If the background layer is locked, double-click on it in the Layers panel and click OK to unlock it.
Step 4: Edit Text Elements
Select the Type Tool (T) from the toolbar. Click on the text you want to edit and type in your new information. Adjust the font style, size, and color using the options in the top toolbar
Step 5: Change Font and Text Color
Highlight the text you want to change. In the top options bar, choose a different font from the Font Family dropdown, adjust the Font Size, and change the Text Color by clicking on the color swatch and selecting a new color.
Step 6: Edit Graphic Elements
To edit graphic elements like icons or shapes, select the Move Tool (V). Click on the element you want to adjust and use the transform controls to resize or rotate it. To replace an icon, go to File > Place Embedded and select the new icon file. Position it appropriately on the CV/resume.
